The best won ton soup I have ever had in my life!
The customer service is always prompt, awesome atmosphere, nice staff members. I will return again when I get in town.
MoreLove it! The gyoza (pork dumplings or pot stickers) are wonderful! Usually they are served with plain soy sauce, which is too salty for me, but their is more complicated and addictive. I get the pad Thai and my wife the pad see ew and it always ranges merely great to heavenly. That slight inconsistency should probably lose them a star, but we always come back because we love it.
MoreGreat Sushi and amazing fried rice. Our favorite "go-to" local favorite.
Great food, mindfully prepared with a good price.
Great place. Food is always freshly prepared and service pleasant. One thing, I would change the music. I prefer music that suits the cuisine/theme of the restaurant.
MoreExcellent Thai. The vegetable Panang curry was 'just what the doctor ordered' this evening. Reasonably priced. Even with a late arrival, the wait staff was gracious and accommodating. Highly recommended to my G+ friends. Add an IPA or two for good measure.
MoreTerrific Thai restaurant, great curry seasoned to your taste.
Very friendly service tonight. Really enjoyed our food and the atmosphere here. I highly recommend this restaurant. My favorite is their chicken pad Thai.
MoreGreat food and service.
Absolutely terrible service and the food is below average. We are sitting here as I write this review it has taken 15 minutes to receive my ice tea and ordered the shrimp and garlic sauce and it was just a degree above warm. I expressed the concern to the server and she replied I don't know. The server is way out in left field. I have been managing fine dining for 20 years and I consider this is a mediocre casual restaurant and this establishment needs server training and a tweaking of the food. Take careful consideration if choosing to eat here.
MoreCame here for dinner. The green seafood curry was amazing. Wasn’t super impressed with their Pad Thai but we did order it for our toddler so maybe they made it a bit more bland. I would definitely recommend but also would suggest reservations since it’s not a huge place. We were lucky to get a seat since there was a theater festival in town that we didn’t know about. The staff was very friendly and understanding of our not entirely cooperative tony human.
MoreThis place is delicious! The crab puff has a really tasty sauce. They have great sushi also.
MoreThis place serves the best Green Curry I have ever had! I love it. Service is a little slow, but the food is worth the wait. The decor is old, but who really care? Not there to admire the walls :)I recommend this place if your ever near Shepherdstown and want some great Thai food. My son loves the sushi too.
MoreI guess for people not used to alot of Thai or sushi this place would be great. The actual Thai food was alright but nothing I'd go back for. The sushi, not so good. Maybe I'm spoiled with good sushi by my local place, but even so I can make sushi rolls at home better than I had here. Too much rice and it tasted like it was either burnt or they added too much rice vinegar. The spicy tuna did not taste anything like fresh sushi grade tuna but rather like basic freezer or seafood department store sushi. ( yes there's a difference). Now, onto the wait staff, while I think they try to hire college students for staffing, which I fully understand and support, it leaves alot to be desired. They seems confused and the whole thing seemed a bit chaotic. They were friendly and as helpful as a new hire could be but still. I won't bore you with my actual story on what happened when I was there but the above is why I gave it a 3 star.
MoreGreat food and service. Crispy Basil Duck is to die for. We have been coming here for years.
MoreFantastic prik khring, tasty sushi. Very good service. Close seating, good idea to call ahead with a larger group of 5 or more.
MoreThe Duck was perfectly cooked and was delicious. The staff was very friendly and accommodating even though they were busier than usual. Prices were reasonable, service was great. Don't let the small town feel scare you away...this place is the real deal!
MoreGreat Thai, Japenese, and Sushi. Atmosphere is relaxing and romantic.
Good food. EXTREMELY SLOW service. Like... Plan on sitting for 50% longer than expected.
MoreCertainly a place worth stopping over, the food is excellent and fresh, the pricing is reasonable and it is consistently well kept in here. Keep up the good work.
MoreAmazing crispy shrimp special... be sure to trade the usual rice for the wide rice noodles. OMG... soooo good with a Snake Dog IPA!
MoreI had the Pad Thai 10 out of 10 hot. Perfect blend of spice and flavor. Generous portion of chicken.
MoreThe pad thai was very good, as were the appetizers. Our waitress was friendly and service was efficient. I am already looking forward to returning!
MoreWe have been eating here for years (since they opened). We love the food and service. The Pad Thai is the best in the Tri-state area!
MoreHave eaten here for years! The best Thai food I've ever had. Keep in mind, I do not prefer Curry so I cannot attached to any curry dishes but I have had literally everything on the menu that does not have curry in it. They also have a sushi bar which is pretty good. my wife and I tried Thai food other places and say well this is good but it's not kazu. I had never tried or enjoyed tie food until experiencing it at this restaurant. They will custom-make dishes as well such as increasing or decreasing level spiciness or adding spiciness to a dish that doesn't originally come with any spice at all! The staff is always super friendly and professional
MoreLocated in the heart of Shepherdstown West Virginia, this sushi joint might be that stop you take when deciding what to eat. It is also conveniently located next to many attractions in the area.Upon first entering this establishment, you are immediately greeted by one of the hostesses. Atmospherically, The place is quite fitting for it’s Japanese & Thai culture. Also notice the works of art framed along the walls; they are quite amazing. There is a sushi bar. They do not serve Sake. There is a very limited Ramen Selection. The Sushi was pretty good and made with generous portions. As for the Nigiri, it was also well made and the fish was fresh. I guess the most important factor is the taste of the rice; I’d give it a 8/10.Recommend :)
MoreIt was a good meal could have used more flavor and marinating on the tofu though.
MoreGreat food, and very quick and friendly service! We decided once we walked in that we would take it to go, so they sat us at a table and brought us water while we waited for our order, which was ready in about 15 minutes. The menu is fairly extensive, and we were very pleased with the dishes we ordered.
MoreThis place has a casual but classy atmosphere. The food is well prepared. The service is very good.
MoreReally delicious Thai dishes as well as Japanese dishes, and decent prices. Staff was so awesome, I left my cell phone there and they kept it for me until I could come get it the next day. They even charged it for me! I was so taken by this thoughtfulness. A beautiful business of kind people that should be supported!
MoreI ate here with some good friends. Several had food restrictions. The waitress was kind and patient and helped us choose the best things from the menu. I would highly recommend the restraunt!
MoreWhat Kazu lacks in ambience, it makes up for in the absurdly vibrant flavors. The drunken noodles were perfectly cooked and had just the rest level of heat. The Thai basil dishes were fantastic.
MoreI always enjoy bringing my friends to this place to experience the awesome food.
Me & a friend were attending a show at the Opera House in Sheperdstown & had no idea where to eat dinner after being told there was over an hour wait at the 1st place we stopped at. So we saw this little place Kazu across the street from the theater & decided to give it a try. It is a simple place but nice enough. The beer selection was very good. We were not sure what to get so we asked our server for some recommendations. He described a few suggestions to us & we made our choices. We were blown away at how delicious everything was! It's the kind of delicious that sticks in your mind for days after you have eaten there. The kind of delicious that you get cravings for there ever after. I had the duck basil & my friend had the chicken pad Thai. Both were out of this world but that duck is something I now MUST have. Been back several times & can't wait to go again! Highly recommend this place!
MoreThe quality has NEVER wavered. Hands down the best Thai in the Panhandle(Except Sumatra, which is owned by the same owners as Kazu). Kazu has moved the sushi bar to the back because they've applied for a liquor license which means they'll have a bar upfront. The shrimp pad thai still ranks in the Top 5 here. Better than thai I've had in DC. NY and Miami.
MoreNice little gem! The crab puff is not to be missed- a giant, 100% crab meatball that is breaded and lightly fried, served with a tasty curry sauce. Yum! Got the drunken noodles - very good and just mildly spicy. Also got the yaki-udon with pork. Great noodles but the pork needed more salt. Loved the toasted rice tea in the iron pot. Adorable!
MoreNot a great place for us. Order fried rice. The word was fried but it was like wall paper paste. Very bland. Service was fine but for us this was a one time deal.
MoreThings have changed since New owners but it's still decent! Prices went up alittle... Newly furnished inside. Sushi is great, food is still good quality. Went to Kome today... It seemed like an off day, not as good as usual but that's ok!!!
MoreAlways have delicious flood and sushi. Service is freindly and fast.
Here's a staple of Shepherdstown that all need to try at least once. Kazu always exeeds my expectations by providing excellent service and great-tasting cuisine. Servings are plentiful and are certainly fair-priced. The environment is small but cozy and is typically crowded. On the weekends, one would benefit from making reservations. I've never had a bad or even so-so experience here.
MoreMy wife and I stopped in and got the crispy duck and panang curry. The curry was great, the crispy duck a tad too crispy.
MoreThe food is good, and so is the atmosphere but the tea is unusual, containing some subtle hints of sesame oil and rice. I am unsure if I like it or not.
MoreHave not had a bad dish yet. Crispy shrimp was amazing, sushi was amazing, service was great
MoreDecent selection on menu, food came quickly which surprised me as they were rather busy. Cozy place - a good place to take a date, or meet with friends. Food was great, hot and fresh - not having sat in a warmer for a while. Will go again, no problem.
MoreGreat food. Decor needs an update, but food tastes great.
I really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The service was great as was the food. I'll definitely come back if I'm in the area again.
MoreSolid Asain offerings, the price is a little on the high for the quality of food but overall a decent place to eat.
Morewonderful food, great service, at very reasonable prices
